Jiangnan University, a leading university in food science, is one of our cooperative partners. Our company works together with their researchers to study the effect of iMOS™ mannan oligosaccharide on maintaining people’s health. This April, Jiangnan University and our company collaborated to publish our findings of iMOS™ mannan oligosaccharide in Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry. In this article, we find that the iMOS™ mannan oligosaccharide contributes to reducing plasma glucose, HbA1c and insulin resistance of type II diabetes and augments the hypoglycemic effects of metformin, a first-line drug for type II diabetes, by modulating gut microbiota. These findings show that iMOS™ mannan oligosaccharide assists to improve the type II diabetes control.
